Our story

Four families began this congregation in 2022, wanting to worship the Almighty according to the instructions given in תּוֹרָה Torah and through the life and teaching of יֵשׁוּעַ Yeshua.

How we began

We use liturgy from a Jewish סִדּוּר Siddur in our services, while bringing in our belief that Yeshua is the promised מָשִׁיחַ Mashiach.

We have grown to about twenty-five members, with a growing audience online: we recently began livestreaming our services.

We gather each שַׁבָּת Shabbat morning, and on the Holy Days through the year, for blessings, song and food. Afterwards we share a time of fellowship called עֹנֶג Oneg, which means delight.

Our vision

Torah and Messiah are not a choice between two things.

Our vision is to change the perception of Torah as a burden. Torah is a source of guidance and wisdom, enriching our lives rather than weighing them down.

Torah and Messiah are not mutually exclusive. They coexist harmoniously, each completing the other.

Our mission

To spread the message of our Jewish Messiah to the world, beginning right here in Abilene.

We want to share these transformative teachings with people of all backgrounds, cultures and beliefs, so that they too can find hope and fulfillment.

Who is here

We are a diverse group: people of Jewish heritage, and people entirely new to the teachings of Torah. Our members come from every age group, from the young to the elderly.

What unifies us is our profound love for the Almighty and for one another.

Our Torah scroll

One of the highlights of our congregation is our own kosher Torah scroll: written by hand roughly two centuries ago, and originally from a synagogue in Kiev.

Hello. Ask me about anything here and I will show you where it is.
