About us

Halacha

Belief and practice are not two things here. This is what we hold and how we live, set out plainly, so that nobody has to guess what is believed or what is expected of them.

The word is הֲלָכָה Halacha, from the root meaning to walk.

Yeshua Is Israel's Messiah

We believe Yeshua is the promised Messiah of Israel and the Savior of the world. He came first as the suffering servant who was cut off for our sins, and He will return as the conquering King.

The Almighty Is Triune

We hold that G-d is one and triune, and that Messiah is divine. We hold this as Jews following the faith of our forefathers, not as something borrowed from the church.

Messiah Appears In The Tanach

When G-d is seen and spoken with face to face in the Hebrew Scriptures, we understand that to be Messiah before His birth, because no one can look into the Father's holiness and live.

The Torah Has Not Been Abolished

G-d's instructions were not cancelled at the cross. Sin is defined as being contrary to Torah, so if Torah had ended, sin would have ended with it.

Justification First, Then Sanctification

We are justified by repentance and faith, never by keeping commandments. Torah is the guide for the life that follows, and that life sets our reward and standing in the world to come, not our entry into it.

There Are No Second-Class Believers

A person from the nations who is fully grafted in, as Ruth was, is counted among the Jewish people. Ancestry gives no standing with G-d, and in the kingdom there will be no category of gentiles at all.

G-d Has Not Replaced Israel

The church has not taken Israel's place. The promises and covenants made to Israel have not been transferred to anyone else, and Israel remains at the center of what G-d is doing now.

The Seventh Day Is The Sabbath

The Sabbath is Saturday, the seventh day, and it is the first and highest of the holy days. We keep it for worship, Torah study and fellowship.

The Appointed Times Are G-d's

The festivals of Leviticus 23 are G-d's own appointed times, not Jewish inventions and not done away with. We keep them because He set them.

Messiah Will Reign From Jerusalem

Yeshua will return, put down all wickedness and reign on David's throne, and Torah will be the law of that kingdom.

Not Easter, Christmas Or Halloween

We do not keep the festivals men put in place of G-d's. They came out of paganism and pushed His appointed times aside, and Halloween in particular is not harmless fun.

Torah Still Defines Food

The dietary instructions stand, and Leviticus 11 still says what food is. Keeping them redeems nobody, it sets us apart.

Yeshua's Atonement Is Complete

Yeshua's blood is the final atonement for sin, and no atonement sacrifice will ever be brought again.

Salvation Is A Gift That Can Be Refused

Salvation is received by faith as a free gift. It is not a possession that cannot be lost: a grafted-in branch can be broken off, and a person who has walked through the door can walk back out of it.

We Keep Jewish Liturgy And Practice

We worship as a synagogue, with the siddur, the Torah scroll, tallis and kippah, so that a Jew who walks in finds nothing strange here except Yeshua.

Do I tithe here?

Giving here is voluntary. The tithe belongs to the Levitical priests and is not owed to a congregation, so what is given here is given freely.

Ask me where to find things

The little scroll says:

Hello. Ask me about anything here and I will show you where it is.
